The
CERIC laboratory
The CERIC (Research and Testing Centre for the Chimney and Flue Industry) is a research laboratory specifically in the field of flue gas evacuation. CERIC works closely with the POUJOULAT group in the fields of quality control and the continued product Research and Development programme.
Possessing a specialised array testing equipment, CERIC is able to recreate the most extreme operating conditions for flues. There is no European equivalent for Chimney Flue Research and Development. The CERIC laboratory operates independently and has the power to stop any non-conforming production, thus ensuring that all the products in the market comply with the specifications agreed with the manufacturers.
Today CERIC enjoys the unique position of being the only French laboratory to obtain COFRAC accreditation for the totality of tests relative to metal chimney flues.
