Accredited ISO 14001: 2004, Poujoulat follows a policy of environmental management turned towards renewable energies and energy efficiency. The group begins with the day to day need to reduce to the maximum its environmental impact and to develop new systems of energy efficiency, with improvement of the quality of the air and reduction of the expenditure for heating for the end user.
Our industrial tools are modern and integrated well and our last investments contribute to the reduction in the emissions and the waste… Some examples:
- The recovered share of waste passed from 65% to 92% in 3 years.
- Our water consumption passed from 10000m³ to 6000m³ whereas our activity increased by 75%.
- The power consumption by product decreased by 7% in one year.
Our products are manufactured from high-quality materials which can be recycled. Their manufacture, their transport and their installation consume little energy and generate little waste.
The stainless steel used in the twin wall and single wall chimney’s are a material durable and ecological because it is easily separable and can be recycled ad infinitum. The rate of recycling of stainless steel is the highest of industrial alloys.
The mineral wool used in the flue of insulated chimney is a imputrescible natural material containing basalt and products that can be recycled. Using mineral wool produces an energy saving which is far greater than the energy lost in producing the mineral wool.
