System PGI optimises the performance of wood pellet stoves
A favorable context
Sales of wood pellet stoves have increased strongly over the last few years. There is a wide, structured range which provides reliable technology with looks and designs that are ever more enticing. Ease of use and programming of the output have produced a product that has a very high development potential.
Where improving consumer satisfaction is concerned, the quality of the heating device, the fuel and the chimney flue are linked. The factors cannot be dissociated.
In France, not everything is yet regulated in this respect, especially where the chimney flue or duct is concerned. It is necessary to optimise the union heating device/duct in the laboratory, to verify its CE conformity and ensure that it has a technical approval. Nothing within the framework of French legislation, aside from the technical approval, details the conditions of installation of a flue for wood pellet stoves (so-called non-traditional). Supply of air is necessary so that the device operates correctly. Correct air management contributes to an improved output and therefore better economy.
Poujoulat therefore created the System PGI range specially for wood pellet stoves. After final optimisation in the CERIC Laboratory and experimental centres, the System PGI received its technical approval.
At the same time POUJOULAT and HARMAN received a shared technical approval in 2005. |
