The forest inheritance is in constant progression (approximately 10% per annum in France) and requires a maintenance unceasingly growing. The exploitation of the forests for the production of firewood is a solution allowing the safeguarding of wooded spaces. Wood energy supports the sustainable development of our forests. The combustion of wood is not more polluting than its natural degradation (the effect is thus positive on the environment). It is thus in the interest of all to develop this energy.
Which are the various wood shapes?
*It exists in various fuel wood shapes: The wood chip for the boiler rooms, the log for the hearths, insert and stoves, the pellets wood (also called “pellets”) for the stoves and the boiler rooms and Bricks or sticks reconstituted.
It is advisable to comply with certain essential rules: Wood used as combustible will have to preferably dry (2 years of storage for logs, 1 year if they are split) and from leafy trees (the coniferous trees can also be appropriate). This wood must be virgin of any treatment or stain that produces polluting emissions and thus decreasing the longevity of the chimney and heating appliance.
